Something weird is going on, no one is talking about this and when you see it you cannot unsee it.

Ever had this happen to you recently where you’re looking for something and you go onto a local website for a local business?

You click on it and you see something truly bizarre. Like this:

“Passion, commitment”, “natures elegance”?

“Genuine desire to transform ordinary spaces into natural masterpieces that sooth the soul”??

Or this:

“Revolutionise the perception of plumbing”, “delivering exceptional experiences”???

No human speaks like this.

Gary you’re a plumber or a roofer or a landscaper but none of these people speak like this. It’s like some sort of corporate word salad invasion.

We were invaded a long time ago by the corporate middle management speak and they’ve been doing things to our language and to our websites.

So if you see any of this stuff going on, just know that’s what’s happening.

And if you have any of that on your site just know, it doesn’t have to be like that you know. You can just change it and speak like a human being so people don’t mistake you for a corporate drone.
